Undergraduate Research Assistant

Faith is a sophomore in the Honors College at the University of South Carolina. She is a biochemistry and molecular biology major with a neuroscience minor. Her current research focuses on heart rate data and behavioral coding for infants with Down syndrome. Upon graduating, she hopes to attend medical school to become a pediatric neurologist.

Isabela is a junior biochemistry major with a minor in psychology. Upon graduating, she hopes to gain more clinical experience and attend medical school. Her current research interests are biobehavioral mechanisms of frustration tolerance in children with fragile X syndrome.

Sarah is a sophomore undergraduate in the Honors College majoring in Exercise Science and minoring in Psychology. She plans on attending medical school to become a neurologist. Sarah is part of the assessment team and is working on her own research project, examining the relationship between the fragile X premutation and psychiatric disorders.

Kristen is a sophomore majoring in Public Health with a minor in Psychology. After earning her bachelor's degree, she plans to attend graduate school to become an occupational therapist. Her current research focus is the neurophysiological mechanisms that contribute to the severity of atypical behavior.
